Saks remodeled its flagship store in 2019, with a Rem Koolhaas designed escalator as its colorful centerpiece. My team quickly adopted this visual approach—a neutral environment punctuated by vibrant, artful focal points that play with light, translucency and geometry—which soon became a recognizable hallmark of the Saks brand.

New stores and remodels incorporate elements of the "dichroic" look. We've even brought the Saks brand to pop-up locations in luxury hotels, elevating suites into luxury shopping destinations.

The visual approach is distinct yet versatile, allowing us to lean into the identity of featured vendors while still retaining Saks Fifth Avenue's own brand voice and authority.

Art installations and gallery-like displays of product further elevate the Saks experience.

The store itself has become a character in our advertising and media.
